The Faculty of Law at Thompson Rivers University (TRU Law) invites applications from candidates with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and collegial governance. We expect to fill one position, subject to budgetary approval. The position will be a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or a tenured appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, depending on qualifications and experience. The appointment is expected to start on July 1, 2027.
While open to applications from candidates in all research and teaching areas, the Committee is especially interested in individuals with scholarly and teaching interests aligned with the required courses in our curriculum. We encourage all applicants to identify any areas of teaching interest falling in the core JD curriculum.

Assistant Professor: TS-1 to TS-12 ($73,666 – $114,124)
Note: subject to qualifications and experience, our preferred candidate would meet the criteria for an appointment at TS-10 ($106,067) or above. Candidates will also be awarded an annual $20,000 market supplement in addition to base salary, per LOU #15 (Market Supplements – Establishment of the TRU Faculty of Law) of the TRU/TRUFA Collective Agreement.
Associate Professor: TS-13 to TS-28 ($117,787 – $163,085)
Note: Candidates will also be awarded an annual $20,000 market supplement in addition to base salary, per LOU #15 (Market Supplements – Establishment of the TRU Faculty of Law) of the TRU/TRUFA Collective Agreement.
Professor: TS-21 to TS-35 ($144,156 – $187,353)
