Thompson Rivers University (TRU) seeks qualified individuals for our On-Call Auxiliary pool. The On-Call Auxiliary pool of employees provides temporary, short-term support to designated departments within the University to assist with workload requirements, temporary leave coverage and during peak periods.
The length of an Auxiliary assignment can vary from one day to up to four months and can be part-time or full-time hours depending on the departmental requirements.
Under the supervision of the Exams Supervisor, the Accommodations Assistant is responsible for liaising with faculty regarding test/exam delivery and pick-up, invigilating tests/exams for face-to-face and distance education students with disabilities and providing assistance to students with use of assistive technology during tests/exams. The Accommodations Assistant provides support to the Exams Supervisor and Exams Support Specialist with filing and inputting data in the Accessibility Services data-base/scheduling system and also works collaboratively with members of the Accessibility Services department and other TRU staff.
