The Physics Department at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) invites applications for a Sessional position starting Sept. 1, 2025. In this teaching-oriented position, the successful candidate will create and maintain a positive and engaging learning environment while teaching first year physics to engineers and Intermediate Electromagnetism to upper-level physics students. We are seeking candidates with a documented track record of a successful, reflective teaching practice at the post-secondary level. Candidates successful in this role will be eligible for right of first refusal for similar courses through the winter term.

Our department is a collection of passionate physics educators interested in inspiring the next generation of physicists. The department offers a BSc major in Physics, and supports Engineering, Respiratory Therapy and Architectural Engineering programs, as well as offering first year Astronomy.
