The School of Business and Economics invites applications for a contract position to teach at our partner institution, Shanghai Institute of Technology (BBA program) in Shanghai, China.
Faculty members are responsible for providing quality instruction to students, ensuring student satisfaction through classroom or laboratory settings according to the program objectives. Each Faculty member is expected to develop lesson plans and teach material from approved curriculum; motivate students to participate in all aspects of the educational process; evaluate progress of all registered students; communicate with and prepare a written report of activities and feedback for SoBE.
Courses to be taught in a 4-week compressed format.
The following courses will be offered at SIT (one section each):
ACCT 2250 - Management Accounting
ECON 3040 - Managerial Economics
MKTG 3480 - Marketing Research
MKTG 4490 - Business-to-Business Marketing
Each section is approximately 75 students.
Compensation is covered by Collective Agreement LOU #27 (internal candidates) or Professional Services Agreement (external candidates).
Remuneration for provision of instruction = $6,000.00/section of each course. It is possible that one qualified faculty could be assigned two courses ($12,000).
Up to a maximum $3,750.00 for approved travel and per diem expenses.
Furnished economy accommodation and food stipend.
Master's degree in relevant discipline required; PhD preferred.
Evidence of successful teaching experience; international teaching experience an asset.
Required language skills in English; strong verbal, written and communication skills.
